Gary Sterczek, O.D.

Dr. Gary Sterczek earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University in 1983.  He successfully completed his Doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1987.  He  is proudly completing his 37th Professional Year in optics associating with various practice and eye care entities in Illinois and the Chicago area.

Dr. Sterczek is in private Optometric practice in the Northwest Chicago suburbs over the past 22 years.  He is NCLE Certified and has fit tens of thousands of contact lens patients as an Optometrist and an Optician.  He is a past Charter Certified Optician (1980) and a Member of the National Academy of Opticianry (1981) and the American Board of Opticianry. 

Dr. Sterczek is a Member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association.  He is proud to have worked and practiced in partnership with his father Bruno Sterczek, O.D. of Chicago, Illinois (d.1998) for over 20 years.  He has one daughter, Danielle, who is studying a Pre-Medical curriculum and aspires toward a medical degree and specialty in Opthalmology.

Gary is single and lives in the Palatine-Arlington Heights area.  He enjoys sailing, golf and travel in his leisure time and is a Corvette enthusiast.  Currently, he providing professional, temporary Optometric services to the Chicagoland area eye care field in addition to his private practice in Arlington Heights.
