After 37 years in the eye care field, Dr. Gary Sterczek is limiting his active practice to a part time status in order to offer temporary fill-in Optometric services to the various eye care entities in the Chicago area.  The Fill-In O.D. is unique in it's application of professional services offered to their clients in as much as consistency of professional services and expectations of the main doctor or managing optician are high in this competitive field. We specialize in providing fill-in temporary services for Optometric, Optician and Opthalmologic practices alike. The Fill-in OD understands the need for consistent eye care in a temporary setting. "Performance of the substitute doctor should be as seamless as possible; since the office is in an already stressful mode of having the main doctor away."  says Dr. Sterczek.  "We treat each temporary practice situation like it was our own home practice." Our compassionate, professional staff doctors  are dedicated to providing the highest level of care possible. "Because we are Optometrist owned, we are patient care driven. This means that we can focus more on providing excellent care, and less on the necessity of having 'just a doctor there for a few days'."  We are not affiliated with any large eye care corporation. Although we do offer emergency and urgent fill-in services when available, we encourage making your fill-in block commitments as far in advance as possible, especially around holiday weeks. Our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding scheduling and payment arrangements.
